Free Tibet

Hundreds of Tibetan exiles and their supporters marched through central London today to mark the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising of 1959.
More than 80,000 Tibetan men, women and children were slaughtered by Chinese troops after a popular uprising in 1959 against China’s illegal occupation of Tibet.

So I mentioned yesterday that I’d come across a protest outside Downing Street, depsite the heavy snow.  I still can’t really believe it, but I suppose it shows how passionate some people are that they were still willing to get out and protest despite freezing temperatures and falling snow!
