Anti-Lieberman Protests

Yesterday the Foreign Minister of Israel, Avigdor Lieberman, visited London to hold meetings with the British Foreign Minister David Miliband and shadow Foreign Minister William Hague.   Given his outspoken views on Palestine (which some have described as racist) it was no surprise that his visit was greeted with protests.

Palestine Protest Against the BBC

So for the fourth weekend in a row London saw another major Gaza protest today. Today’s protest focused on the BBC and the percieved pro-Israeli bias in its reporting. There was particular anger that the BBC was refusing to broadcast an emergency appeal by the Disasters Emergency Committee.
