As well as speakers from the various campaigns that make up the Climate Change Campaign (No New Coal, No Airport Expansion) today’s National March was addressed by three political figures.

First up was the Leader of the Liberal Democrats Nick Clegg MP. He was joined by the Lib Dem MP Susan Kramer who is a vocal opponent of a 3rd runway at Heathrow as her constituency is very close to the airport.

Next up was Labour MP and former Labour Party leadership contender John McDonnell. Like Susan Kramer, McDonnell is a London MP with a constituency very close to Heathrow Airport.

And then last, though not least (judging by the crowds reaction to her) was the Leader of the Green Party Caroline Lucas. Lucas is perhaps best known as the Green Party candidate for the Mayor of London earlier this year
